This year Jennifer Lawrence has dominated award’s season, not just thanks to the awards she’s received, but because of her absolute charm. We find out what the actress said during her now-infamous press room interview. And with the Oscars said and done, we’ve been busy catching up with the goss from the only after party worth talking about – Vanity Fair.

Jennifer Lawrence has spent the past couple of months winning the hearts of people world wide on the awards ceremony circuit and the Oscars was no exception.
The ever-relatable star tripped on the hem of her Dior dress when accepting her Oscar and, when asked what went through her mind as she fell, she replied frankly, “What went through my mind? A bad word. That starts with F.”
But it was during her press room interview that the star really peaked, winning hearts with important needed-to-be-made comments about mental illness.
Jennifer, who stars as the troubled Tiffany in Silver Linings Playbook, used her moment in the spotlight to talk about the important issue, saying, “I don’t think we’re going to stop until we get rid of the stigma for mental illness. I know [Silver Linings director] David O’Russell won’t, and I hope that this helps. It’s just so bizarre how in this world if you have asthma, you take asthma medication. If you have diabetes, you take diabetes medication. But as soon as you have to take medicine for your mind, it’s such a stigma behind it.” Watch the clip below.
The star’s intelligent comments were particularly impressive as she admitted she had just taken a shot before approaching the podium! We just can’t get enough of this girl and her absolute honesty.
In other J-Law news, immediately following the event our latest girl crush dashed to Rossano Ferretti salon in Beverly Hills to dye her hair back to brunette which can only mean one thing – Hunger Games filming! The star is off to Hawaii to film Catching Fire reshoots ahead of the film’s November 21 release.
After the ridiculously long awards ceremony, the biggest stars change their frocks, powdered their noses, and headed to the biggest party of the night and, really, the only place worth being seen – Graydon Carter’s Vanity Fair Oscars After Party at Sunset Towers.
The two big female winners of the night changed into suitably fabulous frocks – Anne Hathaway was out of her less-than loved pink Prada gown and into a blue Saint Laurent number and Jennifer Lawrence was out of her Dior and into incredible, slinky silver Calvin Klein dress – and both had their trophies in tow.
Of course all the male winners – including Ben Affleck, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Christoph Waltz – stopped by and posed for photos with their gold statuettes before celebrating their wins.
It wasn’t all about the glitz and the glam though – Sally Field did the unacceptable (albeit admittedly a little fantastic) and wore runners under her floor-length Valentino, Hillary Swank donned a dress so puffy she struggled to get into a bathroom stall, and Life of Pi director Ang Lee was photographed scoffing an In-N-Out burger from the stand parked out the front.
On a more elegant note, Rescu. favourite Miranda Kerr and her husband Orlando Bloom were also in attendance at the event looking loved-up and as jaw-droppingly glamorous as ever. Miranda wore a Valentino Couture gown that, we must admit, we just can’t imagine anyone else (model or otherwise) looking good in.
