Australian pop princess Jessica Mauboy is set to make a splash on the small screen next year in Channel 7’s ‘Secret Daughter’. The miniseries was specially commissioned with the starlet in mind and will see Jessica play a pub singer who has a chance encounter that changes her life. Since sky-rocketting to fame as a fresh-face teenager on Australian Idol, Jessica has gone on to become one of Australia’s most loved singers. Her breezy, R&B vocals and winning charm have seen her perform at Eurovision, The Rugby League Grand Final, not to mention her platinum-selling album ‘Beautiful’ featuring the hit ‘Can I get a moment?’.
Whilst Jessica’s jet-setting lifestyle certainly keeps her busy, she makes sure to return to her family roots in Darwin and is most at home soaking up the beauty’s of nature with her loved ones.
