Jessica Simpson Gives Birth
It’s only been 13 months since Jessica Simpson, 32, gave birth to her first daughter Maxwell and already she and fiancé Eric Johnson have welcomed their first son in to the world!
Over the weekend a spokesperson told UsMagazine.com, “Ace Knute (pronounced Ka-nute) Johnson has arrived! Mom and baby are doing great. Jessica, Eric and Maxwell are thrilled to welcome the new addition to their family.”
The fourth member of the Simpson-Johnson clan was delivered by C-Section in a Los Angeles hospital on Sunday.
There’s no word on any meaning behind the first name but the unique middle name, Knute, is a nod to Eric’s father Knute Johnson.
We can’t wait to see the first pics of little Ace!
Lady Gaga Performs at NYC Pride Rally
Lady Gaga, who has been out of the public eye for some months now thanks to a hip surgery in February, made an eagerly received public appearance in New York City for the NYC Pride rally yesterday.
The star sung a moving rendition of the US National Anthem after a moving speech commending the recent Supreme Court rulings in favour of marriage equality. In the speech, which brought rally punters to tears, she said, “It’s my LGBT friends and fans who always said to me, I knew Lady Gaga when. Well, look who the star is now. Now I get to say that I knew you when. When you suffered, when you felt unequal, when you felt there was nothing to look forward to.” As she sung the anthem, the singer clutched a rainbow flag.

The BET Awards
What’s a red carpet without a couple of wardrobe mishaps? The BET Awards, which saw stars like Justin Timberlake, Snoop Lion, Chris Brown, Pharrell, Nicki Minaj, and Mariah Carey flock to the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, was the place for it. Ex-Destiny’s Child star Michelle Williams, 32, stunned in a white peplum frock until she turned around and exposed a makeup stain on the back! Shortly after, Vampire Diaries star Kat Graham stepped on to the ruby rug in a vintage Versace dress that Miley Cyrus had worn the very night before at the iHeart Ultimate Pool Party in Miami.
With the red carpet errors out of the way, the night kicked off and punters were privy to a seriously impressive performance line-up which included shows from Stevie Wonder, Robin Thicke, J Cole, Mariah Carey, Ciara, R. Kelly, and Janelle Monae.
But before all that was a stellar opening performance from Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj, both of whom went on to take out some of the biggest awards – Fandemonium and Best Female Hip-Hop Artist respectively.
Despite a huge twelve nominations, Drake, who was a no-show on the night, only took out one award and Kendrick Lamar became the night’s biggest winner taking out the Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Best New Artist, and Best Collaboration.
