Kristen Stewart: ‘I’m Not A Good Fit For Chanel’
Kristen Stewart’s Dallas campaign for Chanel is about to premiere – but Stewart herself might be less than sure about it.
She told the press that she’s not sure if she’s the best fit for Chanel’s classic image.
“Typically I wouldn’t see myself as being the quintessential face of Chanel with the pearls and the classics,” she said.
But the Twilight actress added, “This suits me a little bit more than past collections because it is very American… I can’t say badass but there is something about it.”
Eyebrows were raised when Stewart was picked as the face of the collection, particularly because the other campaign she fronts – Balenciaga – seems more her style: young, offbeat, rebellious, lank of hair.
For a non-classic Chanel wearer, she has worn Chanel a lot in the past: in 2007 for the premiere of ‘Into The Wild’, in Vanity Fair, and to her first Met Ball. She also refers to Karl Lagerfeld, who both designed the clothes and styled the whole campaign, as “an artist”.
So what’s the more casual Stewart’s favourite piece of the collection? Surprisingly, it’s a long, sweeping star-printed black gown.
What do you think: is Stewart right, or selling herself short?

Top 20 Supermodels Have Their Own ‘VIP Model Card’
Ever wanted to be a supermodel? Turns out there are perks beyond just being stunningly beautiful.
The top 20 models in the world also have their own Bing VIP Model Card, a key to all kinds of free goodies.
It’s only available to models who have more than 150,000 results on the search engine Bing, but for the 20 elite working models who fit that category, the rewards are huge.
Bing showers them in freebies: free VIP tickets to sporting events, including basketball and the Superbowl, for instance, and monthly allowances at retailers. It’s like pocket money for the genetically gifted.
Other parts of the VIP Model Card are designed to make the modelling life easier, including free gym memberships and cars on call to ferry models between shows at Fashion Weeks.
The cards are engraved with the owner’s name, and current owners include Joan Smalls and Georgia May Jagger.
A marketing ploy for Bing it might be, but it’s certainly sweet for those blessed with one.

Katy Perry’s Stylist on the Pop Princess’ Adventurous Wardrobe
Johnny Wujek has been Perry’s BFF for years, styling her for events including Coachella, the 2010 Met Ball and all her tours. The stylist to the stars was in Australia recently for the launch of Colgate Optic White BFF Effect and we took five to find out more about behind-the-scenes life as a stylist to the stars…
RESCU: Tell us about how you got your start in styling — was it always a dream of yours or was it something you fell in to?
Johnny Wujek: Working in fashion has always been a passion and a dream of mine. I started off in movies and assisting other stylists on shoots. Soon people started to take notice of me and my pieces and I started getting my own opportunities. It was also a lot of networking, hard work and a lot of good luck.
RESCU: And how did you wind up becoming one of Hollywood’s most powerful stylists? Hollywood is a hard nut to crack!
Johnny Wujek: Yes it is! For me it was a lot of working for free, not much sleep and really paying my dues. I embraced every opportunity to learn and get myself out there as a stylist.
RESCU: We know you’re both Katy Perry’s stylist and BFF — that’s got to be a stylist’s dream! What’s your all-time favourite of her outfits?
Johnny Wujek: Definitely the light up dress for the 2010 Met Ball. It was a Cute Circuit gown which had tiny LED bulbs sewn into it. When she turned it on, everyone went wild!
How would you describe Katy’s style sensibility?
Johnny Wujek: Katy is adventurous, confident and experimental. It’s always so much fun!
RESCU: Katy’s definitely had a style evolution over the years — can you tell us a little about that?
Johnny Wujek: Katy’s style has evolved from young and girly in the candy world, and as she has matured so has her style. But she still has an edge and maintains her sense of fun, she’s always up for bold ideas!
RESCU: Anything you can share with us about Katy’s Prismatic tour costumes or is it all hush-hush?
Johnny Wujek: Nothing! It’s all still hush hush but I can promise you it’s going to be amazing.
RESCU: For someone like Katy, do you prefer working on the all-out tour costumes, or are the more low-key looks just as much fun?
Johnny Wujek: All of it is fun! I love the variety in my job.
RESCU: Can you share with us what a day in the life of Johnny Wujek looks like?
Johnny Wujek: There is no such thing as a normal day for me! Some days I’m on set, some days I’m running around to showrooms, some days I’m flying to Australia for Colgate Optic White! Everyday is a new adventure and things always come up. It’s all quite unpredictable but I love that, I love my life!
RESCU: And what brings you to Australia?
Johnny Wujek: I’m in Australia thanks to Colgate Optic White to launch the BFF Effect. National research found that one in three Aussie women want a male BFF in their lives, someone who gives her honest advice when it comes to fashion and style. I’m going to give one lucky competition winner the ultimate BFF experience. She gets to spend a day with me where I will be sharing my fashion and styling advice plus she’ll have $5000 to spend on a new wardrobe! We’ll also have lunch, and she’ll enjoy some pampering with a hair and beauty makeover.
