Josh Flinn's Best and Worst Dressed at the 2013 BAFTA Awards

Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Pinterest

RESCU’s resident stylist Josh Flinn give us the scoop on who weathered the storm and who got drowned out on the very rainy BAFTA’s 2013 Red Carpet.

Best:

Anne Hathaway: Yep it’s Burberry and black (again!) But I’m not tired of this look from Anne. It shows she has sooo many awards to go to, so many gowns to choose from!

Marion Cotillard: Don’t you just want to throw a coat over her and keep her warm? But then that would ruin a stunning citrus Dior number and that would be a travesty- this is sublime…

Helen Mirren: So many 14 year olds get this pink rinse wrong, Not Helen- it looks incredible and teamed with a floaty gown that matched her do she really is (literally!) a Silver Fox.

Paloma Faith: I love all of this-yep ALL of it. It is way too OTT for the faint hearted but Paloma’s not and Bravo.

Alicia Vikander: At first glance this could have gone down Naomi Watts/Anne Hathaway bubble/cape territory (remember???) BUT this has a much younger cut and the back detail is so spot on.

Worst:

Sarah Jessica Parker: Love the idea of a jaunty little jumpsuit to brave the cold but even Elie Saab can’t save SJP in this- too structured and it makes her look teeny. Maybe an up do could have given this a lift?

Emilia Fox: A very royal meeting indeed- if Princess Di had a fight with Camilla Parker Bowles. Now that is something we never wanted to see. Too old too soon…

Gemma Arterton: Abbey Road-kill. That or I’m just too hypnotised to make an informed opinion. Imagine if she spun around really quickly???

Alice Eve: I know the feeling when you want something really unique but still chic. This isn’t it Alice. The flame detail screams an off duty ice skater.
