Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture:
No surprise on J-Law’s pick of designer but what surprised and delighted me was the volume and silhouette of this cream confection. I absolutely love it. A young woman in her prime celebrating her beauty in a ball gown made for a princess- Bravo!
Fan Bing Bing in Marchesa:
I hear you say Who? Well google her gals, this girl wears couture like aristocracy. Over the top, yes but it’s the Oscars! Fuschia madness and oh so right. This is how you do drama…
Naomi Watts in Armani Prive:
Liquid metal perfection. At first I was a little bothered by the busy neckline but the more I look the more I love. The fit is incredible and her hair and make up make Naomi look years younger.
Anne Hathaway in Prada:
Yes, it’s a pale pink column and not for everyone’s palette but the devil is in the details for me. The back is so feminine and romantic and I can hear Audrey Hepburn giving Anne a standing ovation. A study in chic.
Daniel Day-Lewis:
What a Silver Fox. I swear this gent is like a fine Pinot. His Domenico Vacca suit is impeccably tailored without looking trussed up. Such a suave star.
Channing Tatum:
In pretty much everything. But his black tuxedo and tails for his performance with Charlize was decidedly dapper.
Worst: This was, disappointingly and surprisingly easy…
Kelly Rowland:
Black & White and bad all over. The fit is so unflattering to her incredible figure and the noodle ‘do hairstyle takes this over the edge…
Rachel Mwanza:
Yep. I understand the reference but not the execution. Ghastly.
Nancy O’Dell:
Leave this look where it belongs- the late 90’s. I didn’t know designers even did these anymore. Miss Universe 1997 would be so jealous right now.
Kristen Stewart in Reem Acra:
The length, hem and hair are all the same- messy and badly planned. I thought Kristen finally shook off the petulant princess tag? Yeah it’s cool to be all “I would rather be at The Viper Room” vibe but seriously girl, put in more effort or don’t turn up.
Brandi Glanville (who’s going to admit to this one?):
Questions – 1. Why is she here? And 2. What on God’s earth happened to the rest of your top? I think women of a certain age rejoicing in their fit figures is a wonderful thing, I just don’t want to see all of your surgeon’s hard work all at once.
