Justin Bieber’s squeaky-clean image has been seriously waning over the past year, but this latest scandal is sure to have cemented his status as a typical A-list hedonistic teen…
After the pop idol was accused of vandalising his neighbours home, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department raided Beiber’s home and stumbled upon cocaine leading to the arrest of one of the members of his entourage.
The search was ordered after the star’s neighbour in LA’s Calabasas reported Beiber for throwing eggs at their home and causing a whopping $20,000 worth of damage including the need to replaster the front of the house and restain the doors. Only in LA’s ultra-luxe Calabasas could a few eggs cause that kind of damage!
While many have suggested the vandalism was trivial and has been blown-out, a spokesman for the LA County Sheriff’s Department, Dave Thompson, said, “A felony crime is a felony crime. The damage was from the eggs. The felony comes from the amount of damage, and this residence sustained a great amount of damage that easily achieve the felony vandalism section.”
He continued, “I get that the eggs don’t seem that significant but it does rise to the level of a felony. There’s an extensive amount of damage and I and the sheriff’s department take that very seriously.”
During the search, which was conducted in hopes of finding anything relevant to the egg incident, Sheriffs found cocaine on a friend of Bieber’s, rapper Lil Za, who was arrested on the spot. Lieutenant Thompson said the cocaine was, “in plain view of the deputies when they were looking for the evidence.”
He continued to explain that Beiber was, “not connected to that cocaine other than that the gentleman was staying at his residence.”
Lil Za’s bail has been set at $20,000 and he is still in custody.
As much as we’d love to live in a mansion in the luxe Calabasas, tehre’s no way we’d choose Biebs as a neighbour!
