The Kardashians have decided to move ‘Dash’, their clothing boutique to Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood to boost sales, and supermodel Kate Moss makes a rare TV cameo on English comedy series, Absolutely Fabulous.
The Kardashians are set to open a clothing store on Melrose Avenue.
Siblings Kim, Khloe and Kourtney will move their shop Dash, which has been based in Calabasas for six years to a huge 2,000-square-foot space at 8420 Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood because they think a better location will increase sales.
Kim told WWD, “We had our store since before we had a TV show. Fashion has always been number one, and we will always continue to focus on our store. If we have a better location, we will have better sales. I don’t think our location was really ideal.”
While Kim believes the new location will help sales, she also believes the addition of her family’s store to the area will increase visitor numbers to Melrose Avenue.
She explained, “I think it will bring more foot traffic to Melrose, which I think will be good for the area. I don’t really know about the paparazzi.” The Kardashians have Dash shops in Miami Beach and New York’s SoHo and also have a celebrity lifestyle boutique called Kardashian Khaos in Las Vegas.
Supermodel Kate Moss is set to show off her acting skills in an upcoming episode of the British TV series, Absolutely Fabulous. Kate appears alongside fashion designer Stella McCartney and model David Gandy in a meeting with Joanna Lumley’s character, Patsy.
In a sneak preview from the special one-off episode in aid of UK charity Sport Relief we see Kate, BFF designer Stella McCartney, male model David Gandy and Absolutley Fabulous’ Patsy meeting in a bar (where else?) as Patsy takes a stab at the supermodel’s age. “Who in the world doesn’t know who you are, Kate, the amount of time you’ve been around,” says Patsy, upon meeting the model. And then, to turn the knife, Patsy tells the 38-year-old, “Us 39ers have to stick together.”
Kate proves she can have a laugh at herself which is a breath of fresh air from the stigmas of the modelling world!
“I had a great day working with the Ab Fab team – Jennifer and Joanna were so much fun. Sport Relief does such a great job, I am always really happy to support them,” Kate said when filming wrapped.
