Kate Middleton Continues Tour of Canada, Hugh Laurie for L’Oreal and Natalie Imbruglia for Kaillis

Kate and Wills are at the tail end of their tour of Canada, soon to be moving on to LA so we check out what they’ve been up to in the past few days. A couple of famous faces have just signed with big brands and we’ve got all the details.

Kate and Wills Continue Journey Through Canada

It’s been full steam ahead for Kate Middleton and Prince William whose journey through Canada has been jam-packed with appearances and events.

This week the Prince showed off his flying skills with a ‘waterbirding’ demonstration for an audience that included wife Kate who proudly looked on and took happy snaps. Waterbiding is a technique that was developed in Canada to safely land a helicopter in water in case of an emergency. The skill serves Wills well in Wales where his missions take him over the Atlantic Ocean frequently. Later that day the pair participated in a dragon boat race across the famous Dalway Lake. The Prince was sure his team would take out the prize and they did by a third of a length. At the end of the race, he hugged his wife but certainly didn’t regret his victory, saying, “No chivalry!” as he accepted the prize bottle of champagne.

Just days after the Duke and Duchess planted a tree to symbolize their love (link to other story), Kate got out the shovel once more, this time to dig a hole for the shrub.

She looked stunning as she did it, of course, in a short Malene Birger cream linen dress and cream heels. Later on, Wills took a shot at a street hockey match in Canada but Kate, despite having played hockey through school, declined the offer, using her heels as an excuse!



Natalie Imbruglia the New Face of Kailis Jewellery

Kailis Jewellery are set to launch a new campaign in August featuring the stunning Australian actress and singer Natalie Imbruglia.

Kailis are internationally recognised for their beautiful, versatile designs that showcase the stunning Australian South Sea pearls. They are also famously the brand Oprah Winfrey hand selected to create the ‘O’ pendant that commemorated her final season.

Of the recent collaboration, Imbruglia said, “The fact that the Kailis family has built this incredible luxury brand and range out of Perth in Western Australia is a story I’m really proud to be a part of. The simplicity, versatility and wearability of Kailis jewellery is great. I actually felt more beautiful wearing this jewellery and that is a gift every woman can relate to.”

We can’t wait to see the campaign which will also see the launch of a new 26 piece Angelic collection featuring pink diamonds.  



Hugh Laurie for L’Oreal Paris Men Expert

Hugh Laurie, also known as Dr House, has just announced his collaboration with L’Oreal Paris Men Expert! We love the choice, Hugh may not be the traditional Hollywood type but his warmth, humour and rugged good looks make him a perfect match for the brand.

Of the signing, Hugh said, “At first I thought it was a mistake, but then I realised that L’Oreal wasn’t looking for models but real people with strong personalities, who are worth it… and who aren’t afraid to proclaim that using cosmetics can be a very masculine decision.”

Hugh joins stars such as Gerard Butler, Beyonce Knowles, Jennifer Lopez, Patrick Dempsey and Jane Fonda who have also represented L’Oreal.
