Singer Katy Perry has been making global headlines with her recent bachelorette party in LA. But we were more focused on admiring her eye makeup. So we asked Glenn Nutley how we can emulate the boldly-lined eyes that Katy loves to sport.

Katy Perry really knows how to rock eyeliner. I love it when it really draws the eye upwards and outwards to create more of a cat eye effect, or almond eye shape.
How to get the look:
1. To create this shape, follow the line of the lower lash line, take a tissue and lay it along the bottom lash lines. Then with a soft eyeliner pencil, mark out the guideline continuing from the corner of the eye up and out. This line can be removed later however, it gives you a base to work from.
2. Take a gel liner (like the Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in Black Ink $45.00), and a fine liner brush and start at the inner corner of the eye following along the lash line to the outer corner. Keep building on this line each time getting a little higher, but always stopping when you get to your guide – never go past it as it will draw the eye shape downwards.
This is a great look for smaller eyes and those which are slightly close together. However, if you feel your eyes are very large or too far apart, this isn’t the look for you.
