Uber cool uber model Erin Wasson took a break from the catwalk and stepped into the role of designer for her collaboration with surf and skate brand RVCA.
Inspired by “the streets of New York City and the beach culture of Southern California”, as well as the “blending of these two distinct yet casual styles”, she may have diverged from her signature black, but did remain loyal to the low key, chilled-out style she is known for.
Wasson sent her models down the catwalk in acid washed denim, bell bottomed jeans, deconstructed short shorts, chiffon shirts and tiny midriff-baring tee shirts that Rescu. predicts will be seen on ‘It girls’ around the globe before you have time to say, “get me to the gym to work on my abs”.
Bruce Willis and new wife, Emma Heming, looked chic in the front row, with Heming wearing leather pants reminiscent to the ones seen on the catwalk.
As images were projected onto screens of sandy deserts and long stretches of road, the runway was filled with the perfect collection to inspire us to pack it all up and set out on our very own Thelma & Louise style road trip.
