British actress and face of Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle fragrance, Keira Knightley, has scored herself the very covetable role of Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel in the upcoming short film.
The flick will mark the iconic fashion house’s 100th anniversary and will be directed by creative director Karl Lagerfeld whom hand-picked Knightley, 27, for the role. It seems Lagerfeld and the stunning starlet have a bit of a love-in going on – the pair have also reportedly been in cahoots in the design of Knightley’s wedding gown for her marriage to James Righton.
Recently Knightley raved, “Karl’s amazing. He’s an avid reader, and he speaks about five different languages so he’ll be rattling off in English to you and in French to someone else, and in German to someone else and then the phone rings and he’s speaking in Italian.”
The film, which also stars model Stella Tennant and actor Tallulah Harlech, is set to be filmed in the seaside town of Deuville where the first Chanel boutique opened in 1913 and will be debuted at Chanel’s Cruise Show in Singapore in May.
They’re hot then they’re cold… Katy Perry and John Mayer have reportedly split yet again. The on-off pair were spotted together last June then called the whole thing off around August only to be reunited again in September. Since then, they have been fairly steady and just last month they made a very public appearance together at the Grammys.
Now, a source has told Us Weekly that the pair are now off again but that, “It’s not over until it’s over. You have to see how things play out. She’s leaving the window open. They have both been so focused on work.”
Katy, 28, has been busy in the studio recording her third album while John, 35, is preparing for an upcoming tour and recovering from the throat surgery he had last year.
While this news doesn’t surprise has in the slightest, we also won’t be surprised to spot these two showing PDAs all over Hollywood in a month’s time!
