All The Behind-The-Scenes Gossip From The Kardashian-West Vogue Cover
It was the cover decision heard round the world.
And now Kim Kardashian has made public some behind-the-scenes details from her Vogue cover with Kanye West.
She revealed that the controversial cover wasn’t just a first – it was several firsts.
It represents the first rapper, the first reality star, and the first interracial couple ever shown on the cover of the venerable US magazine.
The cover has attracted huge criticism from people including Sarah Michelle Gellar, who have sneered that Anna Wintour has gone ‘downmarket’ and pandered to ‘the reality TV generation’.
But Kardashian revealed that she was more concerned with her baby daughter North West peeing on her husband.
One of the pictures, shot by Annie Leibovitz, features a naked North lying on her father’s bare chest while they lounge on top of Kardashian.
“She peed right at that moment,” Kim revealed. “I had to get her and clean him off.”
The shoot was also a closely-kept secret on the orders of Wintour – any publicity, Kim said, would have cost them the shoot and the cover.
She even hid the plans from her infamous family. Her mother knew, because “we used part of her house, but I told [the others] it was something for Kanye.”
The cover has since been parodied by James Franco, Seth Rogen, Kermit and Miss Piggy, and her own half-sisters Kendall and Kylie.
What do you think – a landmark Vogue cover or embarrassing for everybody?

Did Jennifer Hawkins Make A Faux Pas At The Astras?
Whispers were flying at the ASTRA awards about Jennifer Hawkins’ Roberto Cavalli gown.
Guests were wondering if it was offensive – not because it was revealing, but because it isn’t a Myer line.
Hawkins is a Myer ambassador of years’ standing, and gossip emerged that the company was not pleased that she’d been photographed at a big event in a non-Myer fashion designer.
The slinky, see-through black lace dress was attention-grabbing – particularly because Hawkins revealed on the red carpet that she wasn’t wearing any tape to keep it in place.
Myer took to the press to deny the rumours: “We are confident the public now know Jennifer is Myer’s ambassador, regardless of what she is wearing.”
It turns out that Hawkins is obliged to wear Myer labels only at events where she’s representing them – not to award ceremonies where she’s nominated for Australia’s Next Top Model.
It’s good to know, because Hawkins loves wearing Rescu. Expert Alex Perry’s gowns on the red carpet – who wouldn’t? – and he’s affiliated with David Jones.
What do you think – faux pas or storm in a see-through teacup?

Giuliana Rancic To Be Westfield Fashion Week Ambassador
On Wednesday we brought you news that Westfield is partnering with hot Australian designers like Dion Lee.
And now it turns out that they’re also bringing in overseas talent for their autumn-winter campaigns.
Giuliana Rancic, the American television presenter famous for her waspish frame and (sometimes embarrassing) red-carpet interviews, is being jetted into Australia to be Westfield’s autumn-winter Fashion Ambassador.
And the E! News host is incredibly excited. “Australians owned the red carpet the awards season!” she raved on her Instagram account. “So excited to see Australian style first hand when I visit in April as Westfield’s autumn/winter style ambassador! #whoareyouwearing”
She’ll be in Sydney and Melbourne for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in April, hosting events and interviewing major Aussie stars in town for the fashion extravaganza.
It looks like this collaboration has been building for some time. Rancic has been wearing Aussie labels on the red carpet all through early 2014.
She dazzled – and was one of our Best Dressed – at the Golden Globes in orange Alex Perry, and had a wardrobe malfunction in new label Paolo Sebastian at the Oscars.
Are you looking forward to seeing Giuliana in Australia in April?
