Travelers will now have an insight into top hotels around the world through both Kiwi Collection’s new rating system and the eyes of well-known Australians.
Each week Rescu. will be bringing you a celebrity review of one of one of Kiwi Collection’s chosen hotels.
This week Aussie designer Collette Dinnigan reviews the Taj Mahal Hotel Mumbai, Palace Wing.
Collette Dinnigan:Walking into the palace wing is like stepping back in time. The hotel’s décor is a mix of colonial and Indian palace. It is both charming and magical. The pool is simply magnificent, there really is none other like it in the world.
The old wing has been restored immaculately and hasn’t lost any of its charm – it just feels much fresher. My suite was grand. However, I must admit they modernized the interiors a bit too much for my liking. Having said that, they have done a wonderful job with the marble and mosaics in the bathrooms.
The Taj Mahal is a truly iconic hotel. It is the place to meet and simply just be.
