Kristen Bell made her first public appearance since giving birth at the Country Music Awards, the Sydney Film Festival opened at the state theatre last night, and the line up for a new Aussie talk show has been revealed.

In Nashville, Tennessee Country Music Television rolled out the red carpet for some of the world’s biggest country stars and a few big names not usually associated with country music too.
Kristen Bell stepped out with fiancé Dax Shepard for the first time since giving birth to daughter Lincoln in March and it seems the petite star has wasted no time getting back to her pre-baby figure! She wore a black leather dress with black heels for the red carpet before changing for her on-stage duties. The star co-hosted the event with southern country star Jason Aldean and despite being an odd match, the pair were widely considered a match made in hosting heaven. There were plenty of laughs and a lot of good old-fashioned country fun.
Although she didn’t leave with an award in hand, Taylor Swift was still the belle of the ball on the red carpet in a nude Elie Saab dress and on stage where she performed ‘Red’ while wearing a sexy red ensemble of course!
And where Swift brought the sex appeal, Carrie Underwood, who won Video of the Year for ‘Blown Away’ delivered the emotion. The gorgeous blonde dedicated her performance of ‘See You Again’ to everyone in her home state of Oklahoma who has been struggling since the devastation of the recent tornadoes.
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman were also spotted on the red carpet looking as fabulous and in love as ever.
While in Tennessee it was all about country music, here in Sydney we had our eye on film as the 60th Sydney Film Festival opened with a red carpet gala and a screening of Ivan Sen’s Mystery Road.
We were lucky enough to be in on the action for the event which was sponsored by Audi Australia and spotted a few celebs on the red carpet at the stunning State Theatre.
Hugo Weaving, who both stars in the opening film Mystery Road (which, by the way, was fantastic) and is this year’s SFF official competition Jury President, was on the red carpet with co-stars Jack Thompson, and Samara Weaving.
Aussie favourites Mia Wasikowska, Gracie Otto, and Rove McManus were also spotted on the ruby rug ahead of the screening.
With the festival underway, we’re looking forward to a couple of weeks of movie watching and popcorn eating!
