Kristen Bell Proposes to Dax Shepard via Twitter
Hollywood was thrilled with the United States Supreme Court’s overturning of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) with many celebrities declaring their praise and excitement at the decision.
Amongst these was Kristen Bell who used the occasion to propose to long term partner Dax Shepard. In August 2013, Bell told Larry King that she would not be marrying Shepard until Proposition 8 was abolished as it wasn’t fair to many of her friends.
‘The reason we’re not rushing to get married is because I don’t feel appropriate taking advantage of a right that’s denied to my friends,’ she said. ‘I’ll feel more comfortable having a party – of whatever we have, if anything – if half of our friends who are homosexuals [can celebrate]. It’s just kind of rude to invite everyone to a party for a rite not everyone can hold.’
Bell, who has a particularly active online fan base was generous enough to share her proposal with the fans. Keeping things well and truly within the public domain, she proposed to Shepard via Twitter.
‘You’re damn right DOMA is unconstitutional!! #equalitymatters’ she tweeted. ‘@daxshepard1 will you marry me? Xo #marriageequality #loveislove’.
Shepard was equally excited by the overturning of DOMA tweeting ‘Prop 8 is dead. Now let’s bring my big, gay marriage to @IMKristenBell to Life!!!!’
Justin Bieber in Love with a Married Woman
Justin Bieber’s increasingly racy reputation has taken another turn towards the scandalous with news that he may be dating a married woman.
Last month Bieber was photographed kissing and cuddling Jordana Ozuna. This month Kim Ozuna has spoken out to say that Jordan is still married to her son.
‘She’s still married,’ said Kim. ‘They’ve been separated a good year. They were very young when they got married… they’ll figure it out on their own.’
So where does Bieber fit into the picture? We hope that Ozuna doesn’t leave the young star heartbroken.
Miley Cyrus No Longer Daddy’s Little Girl
Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus have long held the title of most envied father/daughter relationship in celebrity circles, but it seems things have turned sour.
‘I’m giving you an hour to tell the truth or I’ll tell it for you,’ Miley tweeted to her father on Tuesday night. Attached to the tweet was an image of herself with Dylis Croman, Billy Ray’s co-star in the Broadway production of Chicago last year.
Many sources are suggesting that Miley’s tweet means that Croman is involved in her parents’ divorce. Miley, on the other hand, was quick to retract the tweet. Soon after the controversial post appeared it was deleted with a new tweet reading ‘Wtf? My twitter was just actin all types of cray!’ taking its place.
We’re not convinced that the blame lies with a Twitter tech error, it seems that Miley may be on the war path against her father.
