Kylie Minogue’s debut in the most expensive Bollywood film ever made has been panned by critics and her performance described as “as sexy as a fat housewife in a kaftan”.
The Aussie pop princess was paid just over $1 million to star in the $30 million dollar film Blue, which was supposed to appeal to Western audiences. Kylie was criticized for her dance song Chiggy Wiggy which was written by AR Rahman, the Oscar winning composer from the more successful film Slumdog Millionaire.
Although her Bollywood career may have bombed before it even began, at least her new men’s fragrance Inverse has a more promising future.
The fragrance is described as encapsulating “the dual characteristics of a modern man’s complex personality, encompassing his intrinsic masculinity and his softer, more sensitive side”. We at RESCU, completely agree. Inverse is the ideal fragrance for a man who is comfortable and in touch with his sensitive side, as is reflected by the glittery purple front used on the bottle.
Kylie comments, “It feels very natural for me to create a male fragrance. My world is filled with wonderful men who, everyday, break all sorts of stereotypes. These men are creative and experimental but can also be masculine and self-disciplined. With Inverse, I wanted to celebrate the diversity of the opposite sex and create a fragrance for all these men I love”.
An interesting and feminine mix of ingredients such as frozen lavender, warm spices, blood mandarin, skin musk, condensed milk, and atlas cedarwood, Inverse will appeal mainly to Kylie Minogue’s existing male fan base.
