Lady Friday on How To Look Good Naked

Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Pinterest

Let’s face it: sex exposes everything. But Lady Friday gently strips away your insecurities with the naked truth about how to look and feel amazing in your birthday suit.

Naked as mole rats, contorting yourselves and your faces into odd and unusual positions, every bump and wrinkle bared – no wonder so many women leap away in the middle of intimate moments to turn off the lights. I’ve even heard of ladies who blindfold their lovers so they can feel more comfortable naked!
If your partner’s in his right mind, he’ll delight – very obviously – in every part of your body, and make you feel like putting ‘Radiant Sex Goddess’ on your CV. Still feeling like you want to make love either in pitch blackness or wearing a burqa?

Here are three tips for feeling better about your body in bed.
Adorn thyself!

Lingerie isn’t just designed to make a man feel like he’s unwrapping a present on Christmas morning. It’s also a woman’s ticket to strategic presentation. Insecure about your legs? Wear thigh-high stockings (and nothing else.) Invest in one of Pleasure State’s corsets or torsolettes if you’re concerned about your stomach. Look for the sheer and the peeping – the illusion of nakedness can mean you don’t need to strip all the way to your birthday suit.
(A tip, though – don’t overdo make-up in bed. Pillow talk shouldn’t consist of the best ways to get mascara out of sheets.)

Put on your decorating hat.

Lighting isn’t an on-off choice; look for dimmer switches, candles or lanterns. Design*Sponge has some very inventive lighting ideas.

Enter the room backlit – he’ll see only your sashaying silhouette, and you’ll be able to practise quiet concealment. Otherwise, light from the side; it’s more flattering than overhead lighting, and can create very sexy shadows.

Take your positions.

For every woman’s body shape, there’s a sexual position that will highlight its favours and hide its flaws. The foremost authority on this – and one who’s been giving bedroom advice for thousands of years – is Ovid, the Roman poet, whose famously lewd ‘Art Of Love’ has an instructive passage advising women on the best positions for their bodies:

“Let the girl with a pretty face lie supine, let the lady
Who boasts a good back be viewed
From behind. Milanion bore Atalanta’s legs on
His shoulders: nice legs should always be used this way.
The petite should ride horse (Andromache, Hector’s Theban
Bride, was too tall for these games: no jockey she);
If you’re built like a fashion model, with willowy figure,
Then kneel on the bed, your neck
A little arched; the girl who has perfect legs and bosom
Should lie sideways on, and make her lover stand….
If childbirth’s seamed your belly
With wrinkles, then offer a
rear Engagement…”
Find the position that flaunts your assets to their best advantage, and you need never reach for the ‘off’ switch again.
