Lee Watson Beauty Bubble: Must-Have Beauty Products and Tips

Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Pinterest

leewatsonWith a glowing complexion like no other, Lee Watson has mastered fresh-faced beauty. Fox Sports Presenter, wife of test cricketer Shane Watson and ‘World’s Number 1 Cricket WAG’,  Lee Watson’s signature look is ‘about being classic, and less is best.’ It’s not surprising then, that she focuses on taking good care of her skin and perfecting the natural makeup look. In this week’s Beauty Bubble, Rescu. Beauty Expert Michael Brown sat down with Lee Watson to find out all the beauty tips and tricks she keeps up her sleeve and the products she just can’t live without.

Balancing motherhood with a career in the spotlight, Lee Watson has created a beauty regime that works on the go. ‘I used to have a lot more time before I had my little son,’ she says. ‘I had about an hour to get ready, now I have ten, fifteen minutes.’ She takes her beauty bag wherever she goes and sticks to a minimal regime that provides ultimate impact, focusing on skincare and concealing imperfections – her must-have products are concealer, serum and Lucas Papaw Ointment.

Lee Watson’s first beauty memory is of her mother, who she says is her ultimate beauty inspiration, ‘grocery shopping, you name it, she always looked fantastic with the red lip.’ When looking to celebrities, Lee turns to classic beauty icon Grace Kelly for inspiration. ‘Grace Kelly is someone that in fifty or sixty years time we’re all going to still look up to,’ she says. ‘It’s all about the strong eyebrow and the lip and she was so graceful in every single thing she did.’

For a signature fragrance, Lee Watson loves Armani Code, which she says is ‘a beautiful scent’. ‘I love having just a daytime scent, Jimmy Choo is fantastic for that, but Armani Code, can’t go wrong with that.’

When it comes down to it, Lee Watson believes there’s more to beauty than makeup. ‘I think beauty is about being confident within yourself,’ she says. ‘anyone can look great, but it’s just feeling good and throughout time your skin’s going to change, your body is going to change, you go through all sorts of things throughout life, so to be confident with yourself no matter what you go through in life and I believe that it shines through in the end.’

Lee Watson’s 3 Can’t Live Without Products: LeeWatsonProducts

  1. Aspect Extreme C Vitamin C Serum ($118.80) This multi-tasking serum fights the signs of aging and leaves skin firmer and less wrinkled. Watson uses it for ‘the days when you’re feeling a bit flat, it just gives a lot of brightness.’ Aspect products are available at selected clinics.
  2. Lucas Papaw Ointment ($5.99). ‘Lucas Papaw ointment, you can use that for anything can’t you,’ says Watson. ‘You name it, it’s perfect. I love it.’ Lucas Papaw Ointment is  available at Coles, Woolworths, Big W, Priceline and most pharmacies and chemists nationally.
  3. Make Up Store Easy Cover Blue Concealer ($32), ‘Sleepless nights, traveling, all sorts of things, you can’t go wrong with concealer, can you?’ says Watson, who loves her concealer from The Make Up Store. ‘I really love their products because they’re nice and natural.’ Easy Cover Blue Concealer is available at The Make Up Store.
