Closet Case has experienced so many wonderful things this week we barely know where to begin! We were captivated at the preview of Leona Edmiston‘s Spring/ Summer 2013 collection at Catalina, discovered the details of StyleRocks‘ new charity collaboration inspired by the Duchess of Cambridge, made our Sydney Fashion Weekend planner and fell in love with the captivating wares at Eve Adorned;

RESCU were in attendance at the exclusive Leona Edmiston dinner and preview at Catalina at Lyne Park in Rose Bay last Sunday, where the designer’s Spring/ Summer 2013 collection was presented. Guests included Terry Biviano, Laura Dundovic, Susie Porter, Jayson Brunsdon, Kate Peck and Mahalia Barnes.
After we were treated to sumptuous canapés, we were seated for the presentation of Cote D’Azur as ten models showcased Leona’s favourite 30 looks from the collection, which included a stand out evening wear section. After a sumptuous dinner, dessert was accompanied by a delightful performance by singer Emma Birdsall.
The collection contains several of Edmiston’s trademark looks, including feminine shapes and luxurious retro prints, along with a host of references to the essence of the southern French Riviera (the Francophile translation gives the collection its name). Mediterranean influences were realised in a vibrant turquois and violet graphic print depicting a yacht at sail, as well as a series of floral patterns in rich hues that found expression in belted day dresses and ‘50s sundresses.
The highlight? A luscious trawling floral vine print with cherry accents that arises in a figure hugging maxi dress along with two tea dresses cinched with red rope. The glamorous event evoked the captivating, carefree spirit of the French coastline, both in the accompanying dinner and the elegant collection that promises a tantalising taste of colour for the warmer seasons along with a multiplicity of pieces that can be inserted effortlessly into a winter wardrobe with the simple addition of stockings and layers.

In celebration of the Duchess of Cambridge’s pregnancy announcement, customised jewellery website StyleRocks has created a new range of gemstone jewellery closely connected to the charitable efforts of the former Kate Middleton. ‘The Cambridge Collection’ supports the Baby Cambridge Fundraiser, which benefits the East Anglia Children’s Hospices (EACH) (of which The Duchess of Cambridge is patron).
The fundraiser itself is a charity brought about by a collaboration of 5 blogs, all of which focus on the style of HRH The Duchess of Cambridge to raise money and awareness. This collaboration, apart from supporting a worthy cause is an example of the effectiveness of cross-country collaborations, bringing together international bloggers to support a UK charity- with a prize from an Australian brand.
Designer and StyleRocks founder Pascale Helyar-Moray was inspired to create several new designs that references the style of the Duchess. She says; “For the new styles in the Cambridge collection, we made sure they could be customised with a range of gemstones including those that HRH The Duchess tends to wear, such as citrine, sapphire and iolite.”
The collection includes a range of rings, earrings and necklaces which can be customised in various metals and gemstones. Jewellery at StyleRocks can be further customised by choosing the finish, engraving or adding charms to items.
A worthy cause- and an opportunity to channel style icon Catherine!

One of the best things about trinket hunting on the internet is that you can do it hidden under blankets in your favourite nesting spot – with nary a finger lifted or backstreet travailed.
The newly launched Eve Adorned works with this philosophy at the top of its mind! The online boutique features statement jewellery from limited edition collections of high-end global designers directly sourced from Milan, New York and a multitude of far-flung design meccas across the world.
Even more captivating to Closet Case is the ‘eve exclusives’ section, which features unique designers and one-off pieces. The site came about after founder Jules Lander yearned to create an online place where people could access unique and beautiful pieces from across the globe without the travel…. And the inevitable jet lag!
This philosophy is evoked beautifully in the Rebekah Price ‘Picasso’ ring (priced at $232) pictured above. Designed & handmade in Toronto, the ring is inspired by artist Pablo Picasso’s cubist period, which is evoked in the antique Swarovski crystals in jewelled tones cut into abstract shapes. The statement ring is the perfect accompaniment for a fitted tuxedo jacket, or simple maxi dress.
The beauty of the Eve Adorned boutique lies in it’s unearthing of such exquisite, one of a kind pieces that make an outfit and reflect the individuality of the wearer.
One to bookmark immediately for an exploration session.
