The “Great Gatsby” actor, 37 and Heatherton, 23, have reportedly ended their relationship due to their busy schedules.
“They split a few weeks ago,” a source told Us Weekly.
“There’s no bad blood – they still care about each other a lot.” “They’re both just really busy, they had crazy schedules” added the Us Weekly source.
DiCaprio and Heatherton had been dating since at least December 2011, when they were spotted sightseeing in Sydney, Australia, where DiCaprio was shooting “The Great Gatsby.”
But since then DiCaprio has been occupied with traveling and film shoots on location this year, spending not only months at a time in Australia for “The Great Gatsby,” but New Orleans for “Django Unchained” as well as New York City for “The Wolf of Wall Street.”
Prior to dating Heatherton, DiCaprio had been linked to a number of high-profile beauties, including a brief summer fling with Blake Lively in 2010 and long-term relationships with supermodels Bar Refaeli and Gisele Bundchen.

Kirstie Alley has shocked all in an upcoming ABC interview with Barbara Walters. The actress revealed her true feelings for her ‘Look Who’s Talking’ co-star and long-time friend John Travolta.
Alley, 61, who’s currently competing on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ admitted Travolta, 58, is “The greatest love of my life”.
The starlet reportedly has said in the surprise interview that she fell hard for Travolta during the filming of the 1989 movie “Look Who’s Talking” but resisted the urge because she was married at the time to actor Parker Stevenson.
“Believe me, it took everything that I had, inside, outside, whatever, to not run off and marry John. And be with John for the rest of my life,” Alley says in the exclusive upcoming interview.
Walters then asks why she didn’t leave her former husband, and Alley adds, “Because I feel like when you marry someone you’re supposed to work hard at it, and you’re supposed to make it work.”
Although also appearing in “Look Who’s Talking” sequels, both stars went on to pursue other relationships.
Travolta married actress Kelly Preston, who is a close friend of Alley’s in 1991. The couple had three children, including son Jett who died in 2009.
Alley has married a few times since but is currently single.
Over the years, Alley and Travolta have remained extremely close and share mutual beliefs in Scientology.
The actress’ full interview with Walters will air on Wednesday on ABC’s Good Morning America.
