Leonardo DiCaprio Lands in Sydney
Yesterday Leonardo DiCaprio touched down at Sydney airport ready to bein filming on Baz Luhrmann’s epic $150 million, 3D adaptation of The Great Gatsby.
Dressed down in a hoodie and cap, the megawatt star kept his eyes on his phone as he made his way to his driver from the airport.
DiCaprio is just one of many stars who will be in Australia for filming including more than a few home-grown celebs. Tobery Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Isla Fisher, Joel Edgerton and newcomer Elizabeth Debicki are all in for this sixth remake of the classic tale of doomed love.
Rumours have been flying that Leo’s new girlfriend Blake Lively, who missed out on the role of Daisy Buchanan to Carey Mulligan, will be joining her man down under during the four month shoot.
DiCaprio will be staying in an exclusive eastern suburbs property during filming, he was spotted leaving set at Fox Studios around midday yesterday to check it out.
Taylor Lautner in Melbourne
Twi-hards are falling over themselves to get a glimpse of Taylor Lautner this week as he makes the media rounds for his film Abduction.
In Melbourne the star visited Channel 10 studios for an interview with the 7PM Project’s Carrie Bickmore where he admitted he was single and looking for love in front of 50 fans in the audience.
Now, Taylor is headed back to Sydney to walk the red carpet for tonight’s premiere of Abduction. He is also set to attend a handful of private screenings for competition winners.
Kimberly Stewart Gives Birth
Socialite Kimberly Stewart was propelled back into the news earlier this year when it was discovered she had fallen pregnant and the baby was none other than Oscar winner Benecio del Toro’s!
At the time, del Toro’s rep confirmed the rumours saying, “Benicio is the father and very supportive. Although [he and Kimberly] are not a couple, they are looking fordward to the arrival of the baby.”
Sources say Kimberly’s mother Alana Collins, famous father Rod Stewart and his current wife Penny Lancaster-Stewart were all present for the birth of the baby girl whose name is yet to be released.
