Jennifer Lopez Honoured at amfAR Gala
The fourth annual amfAR Inspiration Gala brought out some of Hollywood’s leading ladies last night and there were more than a few enviable frocks on equally enviable bodies.
Jennifer Lopez, who received a humanitarian award from US Vogue’s André Leon Talley at the event, ditched her usual sheer body-stocking and sequins look and opted instead to show off her famous booty in a stunning metallic blue dress by Tom Ford. On the red carpet, J-Lo and pal Kenneth Cole laughed together and even took a selfie on his mobile phone! Too cute.
Uma Thurman was another red carpet stunner in a bright pink frock that showed off her 5’11” frame.
Entertainment for the night was, naturally, nothing short of fabulous with a pre-dinner fashion show, a live auction to raise funds for amfAR, and Carly Rae Jepsen performing for the room which was full of celebs, models and fashion insiders including Nicole Trufino, and Dree Hemingway.
Kanye West and Leyla Ghobadi – The Latest
Over the past few days, all eyes have been on pregnant Kimye after a huge scandal involving 24-year-old model Leyla Ghobadi erupted.
It all started when Leyla herself told Star magazine that she had slept with Mr West while girlfriend Kim Kardashian had been pregnant. The model, who has a very Kardashian-esque look, claimed Kanye had spotted her in the audience at one of his shows in July last and had his bodyguard invite her to his hotel room. And it didn’t end there, Ghobadi claimed she and the rapper slept together again in October when Kim was pregnant and tried to meet up with her again just last week but she refused.
This weighty cover story naturally started a media storm and, ever since, Kanye and the Kardashian klan have adamantly denied the story, going to great lengths to silence the media and have even pulled in an alibi in the form of Jonathan Cheban. The Keeping Up regular and friend of the family told media he was with Kimye on the alleged night and that Leyla was no where in site.
It has also been revealed that Star never used a lie detector test on Ghobadi as they so often do so the allegations are largely assumed to be false.
Kim’s baby shower is behind her and she’s due to give birth in just one month so this was a seriously low blow from Leyla Ghobadi and it’s made her famous for all the wrong reasons.
Taylor Swift Wins Celebrity Fragrance of the Year
It often feels like there’s a new celebrity fragrance being released every week so we imagine picking the best of the bunch is no easy feat but obviously some noses have been busy because the Celebrity Fragrance of the Year was named at the Annual Fragrance Foundation Awards in New York City yesterday.
The coveted award went to none other than Taylor Swift who was white-hot in a stunning Emilio Pucci dress and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. The star was awarded for her scent Wonderstruck Enchanted and it’s perfect timing as she is debuting her newest scent, Taylor.
On the red carpet, Swift told E!, “It’s really wonderful to get to start from scratch to come up with an idea, a mood, a visual. We have a new fragrance coming out called Taylor that I’m obsessed with, and it’s kind of more about just my own personality rather than a fantasy. Both are important, but I’m really excited for that.”
We’re looking forward to smelling the newbie from Swift!
