INFORMATION FOR ALL THE SIGNS

This is a huge month astrologically as The Planet Of Tedious Hard Work And Facts You Didn’t Want Shoved Up Your Nose – aka Saturn – finally changes signs. For one thing this give a break to Aries and Librans. For another it now supports Cancerians, Virgos, Capricorns and Pisceans. For Scorpios and Taureans, it has to be said, you are in the direct line of Saturn’s fire. More in a minute about why this can be a good thing, despite what you have probably read! And if you’re name isn’t on any of those lists, don’t panic. Sometimes it’s better to go unnoticed by Saturn!

Saturn is the planet who is also known as The Lord of Karma. What we reap, we shall sow. He’s the menacing planet who reminds us to be good unless we want coal in our Christmas stocking. He’s the mean head teacher who raps our knuckles. He’s the planet who grimly reminds us that we don’t have forever.

So as you can imagine, he is not the most fun you can have. He’s reality, hard facts and lessons. He’s also the planet who says “Get real”. It’s thanks to Saturn that we learn our lessons and our lives improve. When he’s tough, he’s very, very tough. And when he’s nice? He’s useful.

Saturn, for example, is the planet who commits. That doesn’t sound very exciting but what is a marriage or a business arrangement or a friendship without a bit of commitment. He’s the planet who helps us to stay strong and to see how hard work can lead to security and stability. Again, that doesn’t sound very exciting and in all truth, Saturn is the least barrel of laughs planet of all.

But Saturn is rock solid and he does keep his promises. He is moving into Scorpio this month which means he’s affecting us all in a very different way to the way he’s been affecting us for the past three years. Here’s how…

SATURN NEWS for your sign…

Saturn is now hanging out in the part of your chart governing money. What this means is that over the next two and a half years, most of your biggest lessons will have $$$ signs on them (or pounds signs, or euros marks, depending on where in the world you live..!)

How will this manifest? There are always many, many possible ways. It could be, for example, that you learn a good lesson this year about impulse buying. Perhaps you buy something too quickly and without double checking all the facts and figures and you live to regret it. Or  … a far more enjoyable possibility … perhaps you DON’T buy something on impulse this year and you realise later that you did 100 per cent the right thing. Saturn is not a planet given to impulse shopping. In fact, he asks us all to get down and studious. In your cash zone, he’s suggesting you reign in your impulses to go and beat the plastic fantastic a little bit. Instead, use this year to set up the financial systems that are going to work well for you in the years to come.

Another main lesson for you is about being long sighted, not short sighted. I don’t mean literally of course. But Saturn is a planet who likes to be allowed to take his time. As well as being in the cash zone of your solar chart, he’s in the part which governs what you value and cherish. So this year, as well as being given lessons about ‘what really matters to you’ you will be asked to look at what you truly value. Once you have that worked out, you can proceed to act upon it.

There is a lesson in not being parsimonious this year too. Don’t be tight with your cash on either yourself or anyone else. I’m not saying go out and spend wildly, but I am saying avoid the temptation to adopt a poverty mentality. There is enough of what you truly value to go around and all you need to do is work towards it.

The good news is that you have a very sober and realistic attitude towards money and what you value and cherish this year. The lesson is learning to value that sober attitude. It might not seem like the world’s most fun angle towards life, but this year a little seriousness will go a long way.

MEANWHILE SEXY MARS IS CHANGING SIGNS, MOVING INTO SADGE… Here’s what you can expect, as of October 7.

The good news is that your mind is now as sharp as a tack. The not-so-good news for anyone you don’t like the look of is that your tongue is also razor-like. Mars is in your communications zone so you can expect to perform well mentally and in writing. You will relish the chance of a verbal dual, you will cut people down to size with a few well-chosen words and you should find it easy (at last) to catch up on all those old emails. Want the courage to send that saucy SMS? You’ve got it. Just remember than Mars is the planet of anger too, though. Remind yourself 10 times a day to speak calmly and respectfully.

FINALLY, A MYSTICAL MESSAGE FOR YOU – I drew a Goddess Card for each sign. If you’re reading this, you need this message! Your message is: “Stop worrying. Everything is going to be fine!”
