In the natural light and cool elegance of the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Lisa Ho put forward a spectacle of both drama and restraint. With a heavy emphasis on monochrome, broken up by pops of electric blue and red, the collection centred around sleek silhouettes that floated along the runway.
Whilst most of the looks boasted the simplicity of head-to-toe monotone, Ho complemented these with blue and white chinoiserie style prints that are sure to be the star of every cocktail party come summer. The recently popular peplum also had its moment in the spotlight, but Ho’s were a twist on the classic look, either gradual and long or short and blunt.
Ho’s stream-lined looks seemed to sweep along the runway as though caught in the breeze, a perfect match for the sun-flooded gallery with its waterloo views.
