Liz Hurley Shane Warne Split Tweets
It seems that Liz Hurley isn’t taking her split with Shane Warne too well, given her latest bout of tweeting.
While she used the platform to espouse her love for Shane when they were together, she has posted a series of tweets giving us some idea of how she’s coping with the break up. The prognosis? Not so well.
Illustrating how hard she’s taking the split, Liz tweeted “I just told a friend I’m ‘fine’ : apparently definition is F***ed up, Insecure, Neurotic and Emotional. Ha ha.”
She followed this up with an ode to lost love: “Keep love in your heart. A life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead.”
Shane hasn’t been immune to sharing his feelings on Twitter either, posting on Monday “The past should be the past and stay there. It destroys the future. ‘Live life for what tomorrow has to offer, not for what happened yesterday.'”
In another telling tweet, he wrote “You will never be able to start a new chapter in your life unless [you] stop looking back at the last one. Think about this and apply as [you] see fit.”
Are these cryptic tweets perhaps a hint into the cause of the poetic pair’s break up? Knowing the former couple’s proclivity for over sharing, we’ll find out on social media soon enough!
The Stars Are Out In Sydney
You know the silly season has arrived when all of our expat celebrities start appearing on our shores to kickstart their Christmas celebrations.
It seems that Bondi was the place to be for some of our favourites, with Naomi Watts, Hugh Jackman and Simon Baker all hitting up the seaside for some rest and relaxation.
Hugh flew in yesterday with his wife and children from New York, and headed straight to Bondi for a quick dip. Just a day before, he’d been co-hosting a Christmas benefit concert with President Obama at the White House.
The Jackmans traditionally rent a beach house for the holidays whenever they’re in Sydney.
Naomi Watts, her husband Liev Schreiber and their sons, who also came via New York, were spotted soaking up the rays at Bondi on Monday.
Presumably Naomi was looking for a bit of an escape after being ravaged by critics for her role in the Diana biopic. The family will be spending the holidays with Watts’ family in Sydney.
Meanwhile, Simon Baker was spotted chowing down on some lunch with his sons, also in Bondi. Just days ago Simon was named the highest paid actor of 2013, making this a very merry Christmas indeed for the Baker family!
Nicole Kidman and Paul Hogan have both also landed in Sydney to celebrate the holidays.
Tom Hanks Spills on the Disneyland ‘Mile High Club’
It seems that on the set of Tom Hank’s latest film, Saving Mr Banks, there were some dirty little secrets to spill…about the world’s favourite theme park, Disneyland.
Presumably ruining childhoods everywhere, Hanks told Conan O’Brien that during his time spent filming at Disneyland, he found out the truth about why the famous Skyway Gondola was decommissioned.
The Gondola, a sort of cable car with buckets attached helping guests travel from one side of the park to the other, was the scene of some very un-Disney-like behaviour.
“One of the problems was, there were a lot of people trying to join, let’s call it the ‘Mile High Club,’ in the sky buckets,” Tom revealed.
However, Tom says that there was a team of security guards watching out for such behaviour at all timea, ready to escort any X-Rated patrons from the park as soon as they disembarked.
Tom joked that because the ride was only four and a half minutes long, those wishing to get risqué would have had to do some pre-planning.
“Everything had to be out of the foil packet, everything had to be ready to go,” he told Conan.
The attraction was servicing patrons for almost four decades, from 1956 to 1994.
We’re sure there are plenty of American children sure to be scarred by this tale!
