London’s V&A Museum is to play host to an exciting exhibition which will showcase some of fashion’s most famous dresses. Titled ‘Ballgowns: British Glamous Since 1950’, the exhibition will see dresses worn by the likes of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, Elizabeth Hurley and Sandra Bullock as well as designs dating back to the early fifties.
The dresses have seen a thing or two, having been worn to celebrity events including the Golden Globes, British Fashion Awards and numerous film premieres. Designers such as Dame Vivienne Westwood, the late Alexander McQueen, John Galliano and Norman Hartnell will all be featured.
The exhibition will run from May 19 2012 to January 6 2013.
In other fashion exhibition news, it was recently revealed that Alexander McQueen’s ‘Savage Beauty’ exhibition may be moving to London. A statement issued by the brand read, “Alexander McQueen appreciates the huge amount of interest the public has shown towards the ‘Savage Beauty’ exhibition. We have been in discussion with a number of major venues in London for some time now, however nothing has been confirmed.”
