The 2012 L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival is soon approaching and Rescu. has the low-down on the city’s week-long fashion fiesta.
An annual highlight on the Australian style calendar, the festival, which was established in 1997, unites the designers, retailers and consumers of the fashion industry. This year, from 8th – 15th March, fashionable folk can attend runway presentations, industry workshops, business seminars and exhibitions.
From the ‘Grace Kelly: Style Icon’ exhibition at Bendigo Art Gallery to a clothing exchange at Federation Square, there are events for every species of fashionista. Australia’s bright young designers will be on display at the National Graduate Showcase and artists will set up installations in boutique windows around the city.
Fashion shows will be held at Peninsula, Central Pier, Docklands. Here is a schedule so you don’t miss out on seeing your favourite designers.
