On the 25th anniversary of the ‘Like a Prayer’ album, Madonna has released a video that shows off the eccentric flair that made her a star in the first place. The slightly odd advertisement for her new skincare line, MDNA Skin, features the star in sultry black seam pantyhouse, with a stream of consciousness style voiceover.
‘Having good skin is important to me but so are other things,’ says the material girl, before launching into a stream of, ‘Transformation. Enigmatic. Substance, Connection. Revolution. Spirit. Intuition. Magic. Mystical. Ambition. Infinity. Immortal.’
MDNA Skin is a skin care range, created by Madonna in collaboration with MTG, Japan’s leading beauty company. The three-part skin care line includes dermatological serum, skin rejuvenator, a chrome clay mask, and is currently available in Japan. Madonna released the skin care line at a popup store in Japan last month, now the star has produced the line’s first advertisement.
‘Creation… your body smells of honey from the comb,’ the star purrs. ‘Essence… your amber silken skin smells of your mind. Alchemy… I’ve spent hours on it… months on it… years on it…’
With such a dramatic advertisement to whet our appetite, we can’t wait to see what the new skin care range has in store.
