Madonna’s birthday party involved everything you would expect from the queen of pop; a Great Gatsby theme, extravagant costumes, Kate Moss, fashion designers, live music and a dash of nudity.
The Material Girl recently turned the ripe old age of 56 on Friday, and celebrated like only Madonna knows how – with an A-list guest list held in a private villa in Cannes, France. Guests included ageless supermodel Kate Moss, Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci and DSQUARED designers Dean and Dan Caten.
With the gift of social media the superstar allowed us to peek inside her night with a selection of snaps from the extravaganza. Madonna was every bit the birthday girl in a beaded, flapper-inspired dress with her blonde hair pulled back into curls and headband.
Madonna’s children were also at the event, with her son Rocco dressed in a smart black-and-white blazer, son David in a black top hat and her eight year old adopted daughter Mercy in Gatsby get-up pictured posing beside the M display.
Rumour has it Madonna performed Edith Piaf’s famous song La Vie En Rose with her daughter Lourdes. Oh, to be a fly on the wall!
Madonna and her eldest daughter, son Rocco and two adopted children David and Mercy had been spending the month on vacation in the south of France.
