After much speculation as to who the designer was for Blake Lively’s wedding dress, it has been revealed the bride wore a one-of-a-kind Marchesa couture gown.
Although pictures have yet to be released, British design duo Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig of the Marchesa brand confirmed the dress featured a silk tulle bodice with intricate crystal and rose gold embroidery.
Marchesa also confirmed that they created custom-made blush silk chiffon dresses with crystal-embroidered detail for Lively’s bridesmaids.
US publication Martha Stewart Weddings confirmed the Gossip Girl actress completed her bridal look with a pair of custom-made designer heels by Christian Louboutin.
Lively is known to be good friends with the famous shoe designer, who has previously named a pair of shoes after her.
It was assumed that Lively would have chosen either Chanel or Gucci to create her bridal gown, as she is an ambassador for both high fashion labels.
However, Marchesa has often been a primary red carpet choice for the 25-year-old actress.
The groom, Ryan Reynolds, and his groomsmen all wore custom-made Burberry suits by Christopher Bailey.
Lively and Reynolds exchanged rings by well-known jewellery designer Lorraine Schwartz, said Martha Stewart Weddings on their website.
The publication also announced that photographs and further details of the wedding are set to appear in the winter issue of Martha Stewart Weddings, that hits US newsstands in December.
Lively and Reynolds, who managed to keep both their engagement and wedding a secret, began their relationship in 2011 after co-starring in the Hollywood blockbuster The Green Lantern.
