Over the weekend, James Packer and Mariah Carey were spotted holding hands in Capri, Italy, sending the rumour mill into complete overdrive. This most unlikely of romances has since been the subject of intense speculation, especially here in Australia where Packer is more than just, as TMZ puts it, “the 4th wealthiest person down under.”
According to TMZ, who first published the photographs, Packer has been “aggressively” pursing the Touch My Body singer for months now and has finally managed to win her heart. The pair have reportedly been friends for years, and recently reconnected through filmmaker Brett Ratner, Packer’s business partner and the creative force behind Carey’s latest film clip for the single Infinity.
As if the simple fact that the pair has gone public wasn’t enough to prove they’re serious, Mariah has been all over Instagram with happy snaps of her twins, Moroccan and Monroe, on board Packer’s super yacht and James Packer’s ex-wife Johi Meares posted a picture on Instagram of herself with the new couple in a very public approval of the pair. Nothing says more than a fling like introducing the family.

It couldn’t be more different to last year when Packer took rumoured fling Miranda Kerr aboard the luxury yacht. The media mogul did everything in his power to keep it all under wraps and the pair never did publically declare themselves a couple.
According to sources this is just the beginning of PaRiah’s adventures aboard the 88-metre yacht — the family are on their way to Cannes and St. Tropez and we can expect a slew of #yachtselfies to come from Mariah.
Oh and their net worth? A cool $8 billion between them according to the Australian Financial Review.
