Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen aren’t afraid of high fashion – the duo’s newest bag comes with an eye-watering $16,000 price tag.
The designer twins recently unveiled their pre-fall accessories collection for The Row and the multi patchwork fur back pack is a standout.
The pricey tote is also offered in black shiny calf skin, slate shiny alligator and black alligator and already has a fan in celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe.
Rachel wrote in her newsletter, “Pretty in patchwork, The Row’s posh pack combines comfort and class. The fuzzy texture on this nifty knapsack is also a fashion favourite. Perfect for pre-fall, it’s never too soon to start thinking ahead for your next season’s staple!”
This is not the first time Mary-Kate and Ashley have created an expensive bag.
Last year, the former child stars launched a $39,000 alligator backpack, which sold out immediately.
Ashley said, “It was the first thing that sold off the shelf. During our last economic crisis in the U.S., the only thing that went up was Hermes.”
The duo have three successful clothing lines, The Row, Elizabeth and James and Olsenboye, and were recently honoured at the CFDA Awards with Womenswear Designer of the Year for The Row.
The stylish pair are also expanding their offering with a high street collection for Stylemint.
