Thought the great Alexander McQueen, known as ‘Lee’ to friends, sadly committed suicide in February 2010, his successor Sarah Burton recently revealed the company still runs as if he were alive. She sayd, “Lee used to always say that you have to know all the rules to be able to break them. We have an open studio, so a big room, and it’s very visual. In more London Fashion News, it was announced yesterday that Stella McCartney will also be showing for the first time at London Fashion Week. The British designer will be showcasing a “one-off special fashion presentation” on February 18 ahead of an assault on the British capital which will see her launch a ‘World of Stella’ exhibition at Selfridges, a new fragrance launch and the opening of a second store. Her official new collection will be shown in Paris Fashion Week as the designer has done for the past decade.
It may be hard to believe but A/W 2021/13 fashion weeks are well and truly on their way!
