Megan Gale, model, actress and face of L’Oreal Paris will be attending the 2012 Cannes Film festival on behalf of the brand and Chris Hemsworth becomes a dad!
Megan Gale, the Australian Face of L’Oréal Paris, is to walk to red carpet at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival held between 16 and 27 May 2012.
As one of Australia’s most successful and best known models and personalities, Megan has walked countless red carpets but this will be the first time she will walk the red carpet, and climb in the red staircase, at the Cannes Film Festival as a L’Oréal Paris ambassador.
L’Oréal Paris has supported and created the make-up looks for the Cannes Film Festival for 15 years and this year Australia’s Megan Gale is going for the ride!
Close to 35 international and local brand ambassadors will attend the Festival on behalf of L’Oréal Paris to celebrate this iconic event and anniversary celebration. Megan will join a huge host of fellow ambassadors at Cannes including Jane Fonda, Eva Longoria, Freida Pinto, Bianca Balti, Barbara Palvin, Cheryl Cole, Milla Jovovich, Natasha Poly, Doutzen Kroes, Aishwarya Rai, Aimee Mullins, Julianna Margulies, Gong Li and Andie MacDowell to name a few. While in Cannes, Megan will also attend selected film screenings, the Festival’s Closing Ceremony and Official Closing Dinner and joining after parties.
“I’m so excited to be attending the 2012 Cannes Film Festival on behalf of L’Oréal Paris. I have been in Cannes during that time of year and I remember the fantastic energy that the Festival brings to this gorgeous seaside town in France. It is such a beautiful place and the perfect backdrop for the most prestigious film festival in the world,” says Megan.
“I’m really looking forward to meeting with some of my fellow ambassadors who form the L’Oréal Paris ‘Dream Team’ and working alongside them will be a lot of fun and a great experience. Walking the infamous Cannes red carpet, and climbing the iconic red staircase, should be an amazing career highlight,” she continued.
Aussie actor and Thor and The Avengers star, Chris Hemsworth, and his actress wife Elsa Pataky welcomed a baby girl on Friday!
They named their first child India. “We love the country and love the name,” Hemsworth, 28, tells USA Today. Hemsworth, who also stars in the upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman, and Pataky, 35, who appeared in Fast Five, tied the knot in 2010.
When she announced her pregnancy, the Spanish actress said Chris had better brush up on his language skills. “I’m only going to speak to the baby in Spanish,” she said in an interview in Hola! magazine. “I already told my husband, ‘Get ready fast with Spanish because, if not, you’re not going to be able to understand what we say.”
