The Cote D’Azur lifestyle: floaty kaftans, gold jewellery, a yacht …“At Blumarine, the show started with a really strong statement,” says Pantene Global Style Ambassador, Sam McKnight. “A line up of about 10 girls on the catwalk, all tanned, wearing lots of gold jewellery and floaty kaftans, in animal prints and watery prints, which wafted down the runway. It really felt very St Tropez: all gorgeous, glossy, swishy hair and this very sophisticated, expensive hair look.”
Get the look:
1. “The perfect base for this look is freshly washed and conditioned hair using Pantene Pro-V Sheer Volume Shampoo and Conditioner,” says Sam McKnight, Global Stylist Ambassador for Pantene, “Because it doesn’t weigh the hair down; this look demands a light, floaty finish.”
2. Work Pantene Pro-V Body Builder Mousse through from roots to ends and blow-dry, using a large, round brush, drying hair away from the face to achieve a little root lift. Next, Sam set the hair using large barrelled curling tongs, then clipped each roll of hair in place until it had completely cooled down, to set the style.
3. Once cooled, unclip and then blow the curls out, using a hair dryer, to give the look of perfectly dressed hair. The resulting hair should have body but should not be overly curly.
4. Next, comb in a clean centre parting, so that hair falls lightly to each side, retaining some lift at the roots, before misting over using Pantene Pro-V Always Smooth Hairspray, for movement, hold and added shine.
5. Finally, to give a perfect, detailed finish, apply a touch of Pantene Pro-V All Day Smooth Lightweight Crème to any dry ends.
