Milan Fashion Week 2010 was a seriously fashionable affair.
The week began in frenzy when Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour decided that she would only be spending three days in Milan. Her announcement stirred Italian designers into a tizzy, as they reshuffled and rescheduled in the attempt to have Ms. Wintour attend their shows.
Nevertheless, Milan hosted a wonderful week with eighty-six catwalk shows boasting the best in Italian design. Fashionistas and celebrities flocked to Milan; Rachel Zoe was spotted at Missoni, Pixie Lott performed at Moschino, Clive Owen sat front row at Armani, Lindsay Lohan supported Cavalli and everyone is talking about Ashley Greene, who attended numerous shows including Gucci.
The collections coming down the runway screamed style and sophistication and reminded us all why Milan is known as the Fashion Capital of the World.
At RESCU, we’ve read all of Tali Shine’s blogs, we’ve been glued to the photo galleries too. And now, drumroll please, here are our official top 5 favourite shows:

1. Marni (pictured below)
We loved the pop-art patterns, structured silhouettes and kooky colours (think oxblood red and turquoise green) and the smokey eyes dusted on in moss greens, browns and grays.
2. Gucci (pictured below)
We loved the return to the Gucci signature; perfectly tailored pants with the front crease and flattering flare as well as the minimalistic palette of white, nude, brown and grey.
3. Bottega Veneta
We loved the sleek-styled hair, smoothed up and down, the slouchy bags that we can throw our whole lives into and those black leather, double breasted pantsuits.
4. Versace
We loved Versace for making us feel sexy in leather leggings, skirts with slits up-to-there, provocative cut outs and skintight dresses.
5. Prada
We loved the bold brows, the modern chignons tied together with woollen hair-bands, the geek chic clothing and, above all, the ode to the real woman in the form of curvaceous models boasting ample breasts.
Bring on Paris!!
