The highly anticipated Modern Family Australia episode that was filmed in February was released on iTunes this morning in a major blunder.
The episode is set to air on Ten this Sunday night, but has now been spoiled. Although the Modern Family Australia episode has now been removed from iTunes, many fans have already downloaded the special.
Sofia Vergara, Ty Burrell, Sarah Hyland and the entire Modern Family cast made a highly publicised trip to Australia earlier this year to film the single episode, in a tourism deal with QANTAS.
Fans followed the stars around Sydney and Hayman Island during their stay, creating a social media storm. With snaps taken during their travels all over the internet, fans have been desperate to see the final episode.
A high definition version of the episode was available on iTunes Australia this morning for just $3.49, even though the episode is yet to be aired on any network. The Australian episode will go live in the US at 3pm on Wednesday AEST, although many have now already seen it.
Channel Ten have not commented on the mishap, but this is a real setback for the network who have been building hype for the episodes release this weekend.
