Montana Cox is one of Australia’s most exciting up-and-coming models. The Australia’s Next Top Model winner and David Jones ambassador walks some of the world’s most coveted catwalks. At the David Jones Autumn/Winter 2014 Runway Show, Rescu. Beauty Expert Michael Brown sat down with Montana to get the dish on her personal style and beauty tips.
‘I’m much more of a cool, laid-back girl’, says Montana, who doesn’t go for cocktail dresses and tight skirts. ‘I like jeans and jumpers, I’m not really a dressy, gown girl. A bit more casual.’
When dressing up, Montana likes to combine elegant items with her signature casual style. ‘It’s really easy to do actually,’ she says. ‘Putting on a really glamorous dress, and then toning it down with a big jacket or a big coat is easy. And I think obviously with it being autumn/winter there’s layering, – you can just take things off or put things on, and it dresses up and down, so I think that’s key this season.’
Montana’s laid-back look continues through her beauty regime. ‘I’m very partial to minimal makeup, a pretty easy going style. I like pants, I like slacks, I like jumpers, I’m very cool and casual… with makeup I think it’s all about just a nice eye – just some mascara, nothing on the lip, a bit of concealer, it’s very on trend, the no makeup look. So that’s very much my look.’
For beauty, there’s one product that Montana Cox just can’t live without. ‘I always love Papaw Cream and you can never get enough of it,’ she says. ‘Especially when I go overseas, New York, it’s freezing, all my friends are like ‘just give me bucket loads.’’ It’s amazing, you can put it on the lip, on the eye and on the cheek… you can put it on the eyebrows to make them stick up, it does everything.’
