The MTV Movie Awards are one of the most fun nights in film, and 2014’s ceremony was no exception. From Zac Efron being stripped down on stage to awards for ‘Best Kiss’ and ‘Best Villain’, the night celebrated the biggest movies of the year from a fan perspective, making for an entertaining and star-studded night.
Zac Efron was awarded the title of ‘Best Shirtless Performance’ for his performance in That Awkward Moment and was promptly stripped down on stage by the gorgeous Rita Ora. The star shouldn’t have been surprised, he had tweeted ‘If I beat Thor – I’m accepting the award shirtless on stage’ just a few days before the awards.
Unfortunately the Aussies missed out at the MTV Movie Awards 2014. Our favourite up and coming Aussie starlet, Margot Robbie, missed out on the Best Breakthrough performance award, which went to Will Poulter for his work on We’re The Millers. Chris Hemsworth missed out on the Shirtless award for his performance as Thor.
The much anticipated MTV Trailblazer award went to Channing Tatum, who is a fan favourite actor, and accepted the star from Mila Kunis and Jonah Hill. Previous winners of the award were Emma Stone and Emma Watson – Tatum is the first male to earn the honour.
