Beyonce Announces Pregnancy
The amazing Beyonce Knowles made a huge annoucnement on the black carpet… she’s pregnant! That’s right, Beyonce and her equally famous hubby Jay-Z are expecting and we couldn’t be more excited about it. Wearing a long, one shoulder red gown, the Single Ladies singer showed off her baby bump to a crazy media pit.
Later, the star performed Love On Top wearing a purple sequinned Dolce and Gabbana blazer with pants and a white shirt. At the end of her performance, she unuttoned the blazer to show off her baby bump which Jay-Z looked on beaming.Dad-to-be Jay-Z and Kanye West took to the stage earlier to perform their latest hit Otis.
Lady Gaga Not So Lady Like
No awards ceremony is complete without Lady Gaga doing something crazy. This time, the singer opened the show in cross dress!She performed her latest hit You and I dressed as her male alter-ego Jo Calderone in a neat suit with a cloud of smoke behind her.
She stayed in character for the rest of the VMAs show, insisting the real Gaga couldn’t be present.Gaga won best female video and best message video, saying, “I feel so lessed to be here. It doesn’t matter how you are – gay, straight, bi, lesbian, transgendered – you were born this way.”
Britney Spears Tribute
Britney Spears almost shared a pash with Gaga’s alter ego on the night, breaking away right before the moment saying, “I’ve done that already!”The pair were on stage together as Gaga present Britney with the very prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
Miss Spears looked incredible on the night, wearing a super cute black sequinned romper with boyfriend Jason Trawick by her side the whole time. She also took home the best pop video award. Britney is back!

Beyonce’s latest hit rung true on teh night, the girls seriously cleaned up!
Newbie Adele took home best directing, best cinematography and best editing then performed an incredible rendition of ‘Someone Like You’.Katy Perry was awarded three moonmean for Video of the Year (Firework) and another two for her collaboration with Kanye West E.T.Nicki Minaj was awarded best hip-hop video.
Afterwards, while most of the stars hit the party circuit, Adele and some friends went to the mainstay gay bar the Abbey and sipped on gin and tonics to celebrate her big win!
Tributes to Amy
Both Russell Brand and Bruno Mars paid tribute to the late Amy Winehouse. Brand gave a moving speech while Bruno Mars covered ‘Valerie’, ending the performance with a shout-out of, “we’ll miss ya baby!”
All in all, the 28th Annual MTV Video Music Awards were a huge success and filled with excitement!
