You might be forgiven for nostalgically thinking that the 70s, 80s and 90s aren’t over with the sensational summer line-up of Australian tours coming up, but don’t let the vintage of these performers and bands fool you. These are three must-see performances that are simply not to be missed:
1. Elton John and his band
Who: Recently Elton’s music has been enthusiastically embraced by younger fans due to his soundtrack for Gnomeo and Juliet, but it is his distinctively melodic sound and style that keeps his older fans coming back for more. A true icon of modern music, Elton John is bound to entertain you.
Known for: Candle in the Wind, Tiny Dancer, Your Song, Don’t Go breaking My Heart.
When: Starting in Sydney on November 26, and ending in Perth on December 11, Elton will tour all of the capital cities, including two special performances in the Hunter Valley.

3. Stevie Nicks (with special guest Dave Stewart)
Who: For many fans, Stevie Nicks was one of the most talented female singers of the 70s and 80s. Her hair, her style and those eyes were legendary, first as the voice for Fleetwood Mac, and later as a successful solo artist in her own right.
Known for: Seven Wonders, Little Lies, Go Your Own Way, Dreams.
When: Starting in Melbourne on November 19, Nicks and former Eurythmics guitarist, Dave Stewart, begin an extensive national tour.
