Pressing charges for being accidentally knocked over may seem a little extreme, but when you’re Nicole Kidman, extreme is often the default course of action
After the Aussie actress sat front row at the Calvin Klein show for New York Fashion Week, she was returning back to the Carlyle Hotel where she was staying when a freelance photographer named Carl Wu came roaring towards her on his bike.
Witnesses told TMZ that Wu was attempting to hit the brakes as he rode dangerously close to Kidman, but failed to do so quickly enough and slammed in to her, causing her to fall. She was quickly helped back up and only sustained very minor injuries to her ankle but was reportedly so furious about the incident that she’s decided to press charges.
Wu was taken in by police and issued a summons for riding on the footpath but was released soon after. This isn’t his first altercation with a celebrity either, the paparazzo has had run-ins with Lady Gaga and there’s a tumblr account out there called, ‘F**k You Carl Wu’. Still, taking legal action for what was clearly an accident seems a little over the top to us!
New Harry Potter Movie
Harry Potter rejoice! Your favourite British boy wizard is getting set to hit the big screen again with a spin-off film being written by JK Rowling as we type.
The author, who has amassed an estimated fortune of $955 million, made the announcement on her Facebook page, telling fans all about the new project.
Rowling disclosed that the film, to be titled ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ will be the first in a new series inspired by Harry Potter’s Hogwarts textbook of the same name.
It is neither a prequel or sequel to the Harry Potter series, but rather an extension of the wizarding world as imagined by Rowling and will feature the textbook’s fictitious author, Newt Scamander, in a story that begins in New York City seventy years before Harry’s time.
Of the film, Rowling said, “I always said that I would only revisit the wizarding world if I had an idea that I was really excited about and this is it.”

Taylor Swift’s Aussie Crush
Taylor Swift’s love life is up for public scrutiny yet again, but this time it seems the country crooner has the upper hand.
Swift, 23, was spotted with Home and Away star Brenton Thwaites at a private party during the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this week and all reports say the pair were getting up close and personal and very flirty.
One of the first people to find out about the budding romance was Thwaites’ ex-girlfriend Jess Campion. A fan quickly headed to the Aussie model’s tumblr page to share the news to which Campion responded, “I don’t know what to say.”
Later that day she uploaded the words, “Worst. Day. Ever.”
We have to admit, if Taylor Swift was all over our ex, we’d be a bit worried too!
