The silliest of the awards shows, the Nickelodeon’s Kid’s Choice Awards, has just taken place so we’ve got all the goss. In more grown-up Hollywood news, Vivienne Westwood hosted a star-studded opening in LA that we just had to check out. Finally, we head back to Sydney for all the news from the Sucker Punch premiere.
Stars Awarded and Slimed at the Kid’s Choice Awards
What’s not to love about the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards? After an Award season of extreme glamour and high competition, it’s nice to check out the more laid-back take on awards season.
This year Snoop Dogg, Josh Duhamel and even the glam Heidi Klum took to the stage to be slimed while Johnny Depp took control of the slime gun after taking out the Favourite Movie Actor award.
The Black Eyed Peas and the coolest nine-year-old we know, Willow Smith, performed at the ceremony to an enthusiastic crowed. Katy Perry and Justin Bieber took out the big music awards, Favourite Female Singer and Favourite Male Singer. Bieber, whose 3D film is released in Australia this week, was also awarded Favourite Song for his super-hit Baby.
The presenting team was awash with stars including Justin Timberlake, Russell Brand, Joe Jonas and Jane Lynch.
It was a family affair on the orange carpet when Kim and Kourtney brought along the youngest Kardashian girls Kylie and Kendall. All four girls looked stunning as per usual!
All had great fun and we loved seeing the silly side of Hollywood.
Vivienne Westwood Opens Melrose Avenue Boutique
Queen of kitsch couture, Vivienne Westwood, has brought her British sensibilities to Melrose Avenue with a new boutique.
The packed-out opening was hosted by the fire-haired bombshell Christina Hendricks. The Mad Men star’s curves looked terrific in Westwood’s designs and we couldn’t think of a better host for the event.
Beyond the hot-pink neon ‘Vivienne Westwood’ sign, a host of stars including Anna Kendrick, Kristin Davis, Lupe Fiasco and, of course, Dita Von Teese enjoyed champagne and canapés in celebrations of the new store.
Sucker Punch Aussie Premiere
Having already attended big premieres in LA and London (pictured), home-grown stars Emily Browniing and Abbie Cornish came back to Sydney to promote their hotly anticipated film Sucker Punch.
The Aussie girls join Vanessa Hudgens, Jena Malone and Jamie Chung in this action-fantasy that tells the story of a young women called Baby Doll.
We can’t wait to see the sexy, tough film on the big screen.
