This week Nicole Richie made headlines around the world after she debuted her newest hair do — a super short pixie cut in bubblegum pink — to the world when she arrived at the Tom Ford A/W 2015 show in Los Angeles and later shared a snap on Instagram to show off the ‘do to her 2.6 million followers (63.1k of whom have currently hit the like button).

Whether this headline-making ‘do will last the distance or not — the celeb has sported a pink bob, blue bangs, and a lilac look over the last eight months alone— is yet to be told. But what we do know is that, whether pink, blue, or lilac, Richie and her famous head of hair will be arriving on our shores within a matter of weeks.
Come March 21, Richie will have landed in Sydney for the biggest day on the Australian racing calendar — Australian Turf Club’s Golden Slipper Day.
Very conveniently coinciding with her husband, Benji Maddon’s, return to Australia for the next season of The Voice Australia, the visit will see Richie making her entrance by flying in to Rosehill Gardens on a helicopter (how else?) to lend her hand at judging the final Myer Fashions on the Field competition and meet and greet with guests at the event.
Of the appearance the star said, “Coming to Sydney for the 2015 Golden Slipper Festival is such an honour and I am so excited to announce my partnership with the club and be in Sydney for the Tooheys New Golden Slipper Day. I look forward to a day of racing, judging of the coveted Myer Fashions on the Field and of course having the opportunity to meet everyone attending this iconic event.”
Golden Slipper Day is the second of three huge race days that make up the Golden Slipper Carnival — the centrepiece of the eight-week Sydney Autumn racing calendar which goes from 28th of February to 18th of April.
