Having tired looking eyes can really put a dent in your self esteem & overall facial appearance. However, not everyone is open to undergoing eye lift surgery such as Blepharoplasty. For those of you that fit into that category rest assured there are other ways you can get younger looking eyes without going under the knife. Our Cosmetic Enhancement Expert, Ricky Allen spoke to Dr. Sean Arendse to give us his insight into these alternative options.
Dr. Sean Arendse of Flawless Rejuvenation Clinics in Victoria is a cosmetic physician who considers one of his specialties the treatment of the appearance of the eye area. He is also quick to add that when he feels that the patient will benefit more from a blepharoplasty, he refers them onto one of his specialist colleagues. Because anatomically the area under the eye and also in the upper eye has minimal tissue and fat with slightly thinner skin than other areas of the face Dr. Arendse never rushes into treating around the eyes without a very good aesthetic plan.
There are a number of treatments which Dr. Arendse has at his disposal. They include Dermal fillers, muscle relaxant injections, Derma Pen, Venus Viva, a vitamin and muscle relaxant combined injection and Ultraformer.
From this wealth of treatments, Dr. Arendse is able to pick the exact treatment which matches his patient’s aesthetic concern. Many of his patients just need a dermal filler under the eye to actually fill the area. This can make a huge difference in giving a more youthful look under the eye. For tear troughs, he may use a gold nano needle device from Precise medical which contains a solution of muscle relaxants and vitamins to fill, stop extra movement of the muscle and aid in collagen stimulation.
The Ultraformer, works well under the eye, tightening the skin in a very natural manner. The Derma pen also helps to stimulate the collagen and offer some tightening under the eye area. Sometimes the patient may not require a treatment which focuses on anti-aging such as his Asian clients who just require a very slight adjustment to the shape. Dr. Arendse makes sure that whatever treatment he uses will leave his patient with very natural looking improvements.
