If you’re a lover of nuts then you’re in for a real treat. Health and wellness coach, Faye James shares her delicious and healthy nut butter cups recipe which will blow your socks off. This is the perfect way to help beat your 3pm slump without feeling guilty.
Makes: 12 cups
Prep time: 15 minutes
Setting time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
Base recipe
2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla bean extract
3 tablespoons cacao
2 tablespoons maple syrup
Sea salt flakes
Salted peanut
1⁄3 cup smooth peanut butter
2 tablespoons of coconut oil
Salted cashew
1⁄3 cup smooth cashew nut butter
2 tablespoons of coconut oil
Salted almond
1⁄3 cup smooth almond butter
2 tablespoons of coconut oil
Method
Stir all the base ingredients together and then spoon a layer into each muffin hole.
Mix your chosen nut butter with oil and spoon in on top of base. Freeze for 10 minutes. Then layer with base mixture and top with sea salt flakes.
Place in freezer for 20 minutes to set.
