Most of us know where to get the best bargains online when it comes to fashion. Online auctions, vintage stores and designer wear at a discount are all plentiful in the world wide web and fashion certainly was the first retail field to really take off online. But what about the rest of our shopping list?
To help you save much-needed cash come the new year, we’ve compiled a list of the best destinations for homewares, electronics, food and more.
Temple & Webster launched just last week and to say we’re obsessed is an understatement. Boasting homewares from some of the best interior designers in the world, including Herman Miller, Aura Home, Paper Couture, Wedgewood and more, Temple & Webster offers up to 70% off retail prices.
It’s a member-only site but membership is free and will grant you access not only to the ridiculous discounts but also to exclusive items from luminaries in the interiors field such as Becker Minty, and Orson & Blake’s David Heimann.
Next month the site will be launching a “Style Compass” section that will feature handpicked collections from some of Australia’s leading tastemakers including interior designer Brendan Wong and interiors editors David Clark and Karen McCartney.

thenile.com.au is our favourite destination for books, music and movies online. Not only are their prices unbeatable but they offer free shipping on everything. Their website is well laid out and has a fabulous blog that covers everything book related. This is one online destination to watch, they just keep getting bigger and better with more stock at lower prices all the time.

Merry Christmas to ourselves!
We love a good pun and would be tempted to include lettucedeliver.com.au in our list just for the clever name! Luckily, what they’re selling is as good as their name. If you love your organic fruit, vegetables, meats and other groceries but find the prices a bit rough, this site is for you. With everything organic you could think of from fruit to chocolate to hampers and wine, this is your one-stop shop for inexpensive organic goods. Plus, your groceries will be delivered straight to your door.
From electronics to bedding to garden to kitchen to toys, this site literally has it all and at crazy prices. oo.com.au has had only positive feedback. It offers free delivery on specials and normal delivery prices are reasonable. Some savings only come in at around 10-15% off but considering the convenience and the fact that all the products are brand new, it is seriously worth checking out.

This DeLonghi Nespresso Pixie and Aeroccino3 comes in at $349.95, saving you at least $50 from the normal retail price.
This site has won a plethora of awards and we can see why. Specialising in cameras and photography, there are thousands of listings all with the technical information fully explained and a bit of a layman’s description as well. The regular prices on the site are far below shelf price so you can only imagine how low things go in the frequent clearance sales.
Every photography geek needs to visit this site—it’s seventh heaven for a snapper.
In one of her Rescu. articles, Fitness Professional Natalie Carter mentioned the online store for fitness freaks Hart Sport. Nat knows her sport stuff so we figured it was worth checking out and indeed we were right. If you’re after anything fitness related, this is the place to go. Not only does it offer sports gear and team wear from team players but fitness and training aids for gym junkies, active toys for kids and even accessories like drink bottles. Everything is as cheap as we’ve found and delivery is quick and reasonable. We love.
Okay, so we couldn’t resist one fashion related site.
In August, Cate Young launched her own range of vintage inspired, fun and fashionable rash shirts and swimwear for women, children and men called Summer & Salt. The seriously cute bikinis and rashies for women range from around $75 – $110. Men’s rashies are $95 and kids swimwear between $25-$50. The unique, sun-safe range has been such a success online that Young has been able to launch a bricks and mortar store on the Sunshine Coast.
