Internet shopping is currently all the rage, with great international brands, products and bargains being delivered straight to our doors! Online shopping is a fantastic way to pick up that designer handbag you’ve been lusting over at a bargain price and allows us to shop global brands such as Prada, Topshop, Saks Fifth Avenue and more, right from our computer!
ClubQT is one such online store that gives us access to hundreds of international brands and retailers such as Marks & Spencer, New Look and Outnet.com and more. Rescu. recently spoke to Mandy Sigaloff, CEO of ClubQT, and asked her to share with us the benefits that online shopping offers buyers, how much we can save on international brands and what exactly ClubQT is.
RESCU: What’s Club QT and why did you go to the trouble of creating this mega-shopping site?
Mandy Sigaloff: ClubQT’s aim is to bring the best and biggest selection of world wide fashion together in once place, to make shopping from overseas retailers accessible and easy for Australian shoppers. We personally select each of our partner stores to ensure we have a range of fashion to suit every budget and style with over 4,000 party dresses on the site. With prices ranging from $15 to $6,000 there is no reason to shop anywhere else!
ClubQT offers the piece of mind that every item on ClubQT is genuine, the stores we work with are establish reputable stores with excellent shipping and returns policies bringing peace of mind, however much you spend on your purchase.
RESCU: What kind of deals and benefits can Club QT members/ shoppers receive?
Mandy Sigaloff: Once you join ClubQT you have access to your own private fitting room where you can save favourite fashion, create personal bespoke outfits or use when comparing items you are thinking of buying. You can also create your personal virtual high-street to make shopping your stores easy, with one click on the store logo you are ready to shop (you never have to remember a store URL again!).
With many of our stores in the Northen hemisphere, we bring new season fashion to our members at sale prices before it even reaches Australian shores, as well as unbelievable discounts and offers that our partner stores share with us. In our news letters we share the best finds from around the world, that could be the latest Mulberry Bag on sale in Italy or J Brand Jeans direct from the States. Our stores are constantly giving us exclusive offers for our members, not forgetting great giveaways and competitions! As well as joining the site you can also ‘like’ us on Facebook or join us on Twitter where we tweet discounts and giveaways daily.
RESCU: Name some of the big retail partnerships you have snagged for Club QT.
Mandy Sigaloff: After a recent trip to USA we are pleased to announce Macy’s and Saks Fifth Avenue as partner stores who offer great deals on designer items. We also have UK favorites such as Next, Marks and Spencer, Dorothy Perkins, The Outnet (Net-a-porter’s outlet store), Ralph Lauren, House of Fraser, TM Lewin (great for men’s shirts!) as well as stores such as Boden and Alex and Alexa for kids fashion.
RESCU: What are your expert tips for returns and sizing when shopping online?
Mandy Sigaloff: Many stores have size guides (we feature these on our store pages) which are really helpful. If you love an item and need to change the size send it back as quickly as possible, the turnover of stock in Europe and the USA is a lot quicker than in Australia. If you are not sure of the size and it is a fitted item I always go for the larger rather than the smaller size and quite often I have had the waist or top section taken in at my local drycleaners.
RESCU: How much can an Australian consumer save by shopping online from international boutiques?
Mandy Sigaloff: It really does depend if you are shopping the sales and what you are shopping for, but many of the end of season sales will have 70% discounts running – you have to get in quick though as sale items do get snapped up! I am also a big fan of some of our ‘high street’ stores, I have just had a delivery of summer dresses from Dorothy Perkins that I purchased in the 30% off sale – 6 stunning summer dresses and 2 pairs of shoes for $420! But shopping on ClubQT is not only about saving money but also having a huge choice. I am in love with the bright jean trend started by J Brand and have been desperate for a pair in shocking pink, the only place I could buy them was on ClubQT from partner store My Wardrobe in the UK.
RESCU: Do you have any favourite sections of Club QT you always recommend to your friends?
Mandy Sigaloff: I always suggest using the site search to find your favorite brands, all the bargains come up as well!
RESCU: What’s the best deal you’ve ever had on the site and how do we know to spot a great deal?
Mandy Sigaloff: The sales prices are usually shown in red and also we search the site, find many of the best deals and put them on the home page. I got a Prada bag reduced from $980 to $230 in the end of season sales that I am completely in love with!
