Paspaley Introduces Its New Digital World of Pearls

Paspaley, the oldest pearling company in Australia, have introduced a new online experience to purchase, or simply admire, their luxury jewellery.

The enchanting relaunched website takes you into The World of Paspaley, where you can read about the history of the famous family company, the quest for the perfect Australian South Sea pearl and the time honoured techniques of Paspaley’s artisan jewellers.

Browse the house’s entire range of jewellery, from the Classics to Couture collections. Just a click away is the e-boutique, which allows customers to purchase directly online with free shipping.

Paspaley’s CEO, James Paspaley, is thrilled with the rich and interactive content on the new site. ‘Aside from showcasing the beauty of pearl jewellery, our aim was to design a unique website that would engage visitors on a journey of exploration and educate customers about the virtues of pearls.’

Three generations of the Paspaley family have devoted themselves to the quest of unearthing the perfect pearl oyster from nature’s most secluded corner in the Indian Ocean’s South Sea.

Rescu. Loves… The behind-the-scenes films of Paspaley divers plucking the rare Pinctada maxima oysters from the seabed off the Kimberley Coast in Western Australia. Footage of the cultivation process by Paspaley’s pearlers takes you into the laboratory, where pearls are harvested in farming cycles for as long as nine years.

 

An interactive pearl workshop illustrates the selection process. Only five percent of the pearls from the crop make the cut. Watch as the pearls are individually scrutinised and graded by ‘five virtues’ – lustre, complexion, shape, colour and size.
